Taylor City officials find a piece of history while rebuilding their city offices. The old city building was recently torn down, but not before construction crews carefully removed a time capsule from the cornerstone of the building. City officials knew the time capsule existed thanks to a newspaper article that was published in 1935, the year the old building was completed. It contains letters from city employees, photos and a few other surprises from the time period. "I think it's interesting they put some confederate money in," says Main Street Manager Deby Lannen. "We had some autographs of the president of that time, Franklin Delano Roosevelt." Other artifacts historical to the city of Taylor are also inside. City officials have a list of what's inside the capsule but have yet to open the container. They say they plan on opening it at a city event sometime in the next couple months.
