Joe Nathan was apologizing Thursday after a gesture to booing Tigers fans the night before.

Wednesday night, the Tigers fell behind 4 to 1 to the Pittsburgh Pirates but gained back the lead 8 to 4 by the ninth inning. Then, Joe Nathan hit the mound to seal the win.

But when he walked the first two batters, fans began booing at Comerica Park. He got a line out and a double play to end it but then, after the final out, he made a questionable gesture - twice - to the fans.
