Mother of Two Found Dead In Upper Darby, Police Search For Person of Interest

An Upper Darby mother of two is dead and police say the way it happened is suspicious. They tell FOX 29 they are looking for her boyfriend is called a Person of Interest in the case.

"That was my everything..I can call my mom.. that was my everything," said Mont Brown, a son who experiencing the raw pain of losing his mother. "I feel like I got no more soul."

Yellow crime scene tape covers the door on the 7000 block of Emerson Street. Upper Darby Police on the second floor bedroom is where they found the body of Masako Griffin.

Identified by family members, the 38-year old had just graduated from Delaware County Community College with a degree in nursing.

"She was a wonderful loving person. A child of god. God first and foremost in her life. She loved her kids. She loved her family. She loved her career," said Griffin’s cousin Michelle Diallo.

Police were called here for a welfare check early Sunday morning. When they got there, Griffin's body was found with a towel over her head and her grey Dodge Durango is missing.

A source says the body may have been there for up to three days. Friends say police have been called to the home numerous times for domestic disputes. In fact, Griffin's had just gotten a restraining order against her boyfriend.

Police say they have yet to find him.

Upper Darby Police have yet to locate Griffin's boyfriend or say how she died. A candlelight vigil is planned in her honor tomorrow night.
