The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office says it has arrested a man accused of the attempted murder of a person who had given him a ride.
The sheriff’s office says that a deputy responded to a call in the 100 block of Misty Drive in Uhland on July 28th and upon arrival met with a victim who said he had given a ride to someone who ended up stabbing him and stealing his truck. The victim was initially taken to a hospital in Kyle but was transported to Breckenridge Hospital in Austin due to the severity of his wounds. The victim identified the person who stabbed him as Jonathan McDonald.
After collaborating with the Caldwell County Criminal Investigator, enough information was gathered that arrest warrants were issued for McDonald on July 30th. That same day the warrants were executed and McDonald was arrested.
McDonald is now in Caldwell County Jail facing a charge of criminal attempted murder and another for aggravated robbery. Both charges come with a bond of $75,000 each.
