Police ask for info about hit-and-run crashes

Posted: Updated:

Austin police are asking for your help after two hit-and-run crashes over the past week.

The first happened last Wednesday afternoon in the 4900 block of East Ben White. A motorcyclist remembers a vehicle pulling out in front of him but isn't sure if he hit it. Police say witnesses saw a 90’s model red pick-up truck leave the area but aren't sure if it was involved.

The next day, police responded to South Congress near 290 where a pedestrian who was crossing the street was hit by a champagne-colored SUV that left the scene. The pedestrian is still hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Police are asking if you have information about either of these crashes to give them a call.
