SPRING, Texas (AP) - A man accused of killing six members of his ex-wife's family in Texas as he sought his former spouse also faces a restraining order secured by his mother.
Ronald Lee Haskell was being held Friday in Houston on capital murder charges.
Haskell is charged in Wednesday's fatal shooting of his ex-wife's sister, Katie Stay, her husband and four of their children in Spring. The lone survivor, the slain couple's 15-year-old daughter, suffered a fractured skull when a bullet grazed her head.
California authorities say Haskell's mother reported a physical argument with her son July 2 at her home in San Marcos, California. Haskell finally left after a few hours. His mother called 911 and later obtained a restraining order against her son.
