Child placement agency responds to drowning, placement suspension
FOX 7 News
The child placing agency responsible for the two foster children who drowned over the weekend are responding to the incident and their temporary placement suspension.
A representative with Providence Kids, an Austin child placement agency, and the providence service corporation released the following response to FOX 7 in reference to the double-drowning Sunday afternoon.
"Just last week, providence sent to our area families a water safety bulletin which the DFPS commissioner made available to all child placing agencies. In light of this terrible tragedy, we plan to follow up with additional water safety requirements for our families providing care to children. We are very saddened for the impact that this has had on everyone involved."
