There are a lot of July 4th events happening Friday in Central Texas. Here’s a look at a few of them.
The H-E-B and Austin Symphony's Annual July 4th concert and fireworks will be held at the Circuit of the Americas. Parking lots open at 3 p.m. and the gates open at 4. Parking is free, but if you want to park up-close it'll cost $10.
Family friendly activities begin around 6, the symphony will play at 8-30 and the fireworks show starts around 9-30.
Round Rock’s Frontier Days Celebration kicks off with the parade at 10 a.m. from North Brown Street and Round Rock Avenue through downtown. Frontier Days kicks off at noon at Old Settlers Park. The Austin Symphonic Band will play in the evening, and fireworks will go off after dark.
San Marcos is celebrating with Summerfest from 6 to 10 p.m. at San Marcos Plaza Park with the parade starting at 7 p.m. and fireworks display at 9:30 p.m.
The city of Taylor is hosting Independence Day festivities at Murphy Park. Parade and flag-raising ceremony will be at 4 p.m., with activities all afternoon until fireworks go off around 9. Don’t miss the rubber duck race at 7:30 p.m.
Leander will hold the 13th Annual Liberty Fest. Gates open at 5 p.m. at the future site of ACC. It features live music, games, and a fireworks show scheduled for 9 p.m.
