NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - Oscar winner Adrien Brody has never forgotten his Queens roots nor the pizza. The Woodhaven native returned home after winning the Best Actor award in 2002 for his role in 'The Pianist' and broke down in the middle of the street with a pizza in hand.

"I love Joe’s Pizza. I had a moment when I came back to New York and I had a slice of pizza and I was on the street and I cried. Because I realized it was something I had taken for granted my whole life that I could afford to have that at any moment. People all around the world, everywhere you look, do not have that luxury. I cried. That’s what I mean. If you have an opportunity to gain insight from portraying a character, it seeped into me to the core, it changes everything," said Brody.

In his latest role, Brody plays one of three 'parts' to a relationship:

"It’s a beautiful film. It’s three intertwining life stories and that really at the heart of it, it’s about the complexity of relationships. The crux of it is in every relationship there is a third person. Trusting and learning to trust again when there are failures," said Brody.

The film, 'Third Person,' was shot mostly in Rome but takes place in Paris and New York.

It’s a very exciting thing," said Sambora during Good Day New York. The New Jersey native from "a blue collar, working class family" missed home and watching his daughter grow.
