Debris and slick roads remain after last night's storm

Posted: Updated:
Last night's storm brought some much-needed rain and minor flooding to the Central Texas area.

According to Austin Energy, the storm knocked out power for some six thousand customers. Energy crews worked through the night to help restore power to affected customers.

Nearly 1,500 people are still without power this morning, according to the company.

The city has opened up most of the low water crossings that were shut down this morning.

Austin-Travis County EMS reported having to rescue two people overnight. One victim was swept away by rising water, while the other fell into a creek.

Both individuals had non-life threatening injuries.
