PENSACOLA, Fla. -
Storms dumped more than 20 inches of rain in less than 24 hours in parts of the southeast.
Hundreds of people in Florida and Alabama have had to be rescued from their cars and rooftops.
Wednesday night roads were chewed up into pieces, and in some cases, wiped out completely in Pensacola. The flood waters made rescue efforts difficult, and some are still awaiting help.
FOX 5 reporter Trevor Shirley has been sending live reports of the flooding from Pensacola. Tune in Thursday morning for "Good Day Atlanta" as he continues to show us the dramatic scene unfolding in the Gulf Coast.
