DEER PARK, Texas (FOX 26) - The countdown is on for this year's Special Olympic Games in New Jersey.

Texas will be well represented in all the categories, including softball.

For the Deer Park Fireballs, the games will be a family affair.

"It's going to be awesome, really going to be awesome.." says Mary Ann Fox, Coach of the Deer Park Fireballs; " I'm looking forward to this group like one big family."

Fox says the Fireballs, are what is known as a "unified team", seven athletes with intellectual disabilities, and seven athletes without disabilities make up the 14 person roster.

For Aaron Graham, who has autism, this is his first time competing at a national level.  What makes the game even more special is he will be competing side by side with his younger brother, Kail.

"I get calls all the time that they've seen Aaron at the grocery store or at a restaurant and that's all he talks about is going to nationals" said Kail Graham.

The Special Olympics USA games will be hosted by New Jersey,  June 14-June 21.

Nearly 35-hundred athletes will compete in 16 Olympic-style team and individual sports.
