SEPTA Releases Videos Of Riders On Subway Tracks

Posted: Updated:

A warning from SEPTA: Do not follow the examples you're about to see!

First, there's the video of a man climbing down onto the tracks at the Ellsworth-Federal station on the Broad Street Line. Officials say he was trying to pick up food he'd dropped.

He eventually gets back onto the platform and boards a train.

And then there's this video. In the back there, you can see a man walking right onto the tracks at the 34th street station on the Market-Frankford Line. He wasn't seriously hurt.

SEPTA says trains were only moments away from hitting both these men.

The lesson? Stay off the tracks and be aware of your surroundings at all times.
