Police say 45-year-old Stephen Clark of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, is facing charges after police were notified by JFK Hospital on Tuesday that a 41-year-old female sustained injuries after a domestic dispute.
According to police, through the investigation it was discovered that Clark repeatedly choked the victim rendering her unconscious, unable to defend herself as he continued to assault her.
Police say after the woman regained consciousness, she was able to flee and a neighbor took her to the hospital. The victim suffered a concussion, bruises and lacerations and has since been discharged, according to authorities.
Police say Clark was arrested at his home, where the dispute occured, without incident. He has been charged with criminal attempt homicide and terroristic threats, and was remanded to the Camden County Jail in default of $750,000.00 full cash bail.
