Deputies Arrest Suspect Accused Of Attacking Several People

On Sunday, April 13, 2014, at approximately 11:10 PM, Riverside County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the 31000 block of Riverside Drive regarding an alleged assault with a deadly weapon. According to the Riverside County Sheriff's office, the altercation occurred when the victim attempted to stop a fight involving others at the establishment when he was cut with a knife. Suspect, Johnathan Schmidt, 29 years old and a resident of Lake Elsinore, fled the area in a dark green Ford Explorer. 

Officers on patrol observed the vehicle at Grand and Bryant and initiated a traffic stop and detained Schmidt. During the course of the investigation officers determined that Schmidt had attacked the victim and several others at the establishment.

Jonathan Schmidt was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and battery. He was transported to the Southwest Detention Center.
