One of a kind masterpieces made Saturday are expected to bring in a lot of money for a good cause. At Dell Children's Medical Center the hospital held its second Art of Giving event. Using their hands and brushes some young artists got to work to help those inside the hospital.
Children also learned about philanthropy and the importance of giving back. Pieces sell for anywhere from $100 to $10,000 dollars. Organizers say sponsorships increased this year so the event will likely raise double what it did last year.
Money raised goes to the child life art and music therapies endowment at the medical center. Co-chairs Jason and Christie Barany say the money raised helps out a hospital that makes a difference for families across the state.
"Being able to have families participate means they learn more and see the giving back in progress and it's a really rewarding experience," said Christie Barany.
This year organizers expect to raise more than $50,000 dollars.
