San Marcos police are investigating what they're calling a "suspicious death" of a young woman.
Police are not releasing much about the shooting that happened in the 1300 block of Barbara Drive and that has neighbors in the area feeling nervous.
It was about 1 a.m. Friday when San Marcos police got a call from a man saying he had been shot.
Officers responded to the duplex in the 1300 block of Barbara Drive. They found a 23-year-old woman inside. She died at the scene.
Her roommate, the 25 year old man, who'd called 911, had also been shot. He was transported to UMC Brackenridge hospital in Austin.
"I'm still very... Nervous, since everything's coming out that they don't know what happened," said Aurora Saldana, a neighbor.
"Forensics is going to find out anyway, so if you get it or you know anything about it, just come clear and don't be scared to share any information about it," said Charleton Hardin, a neighbor.
An autopsy has been ordered on the young woman.
As the investigation into this suspicious death continues, authorities confirm the young man involved has been released from the hospital.
