I have been participating in Special Olympics for 23 years, and the sports that I compete in are bowling, aquatics, tennis, canoeing, cycling and horseback riding. Special Olympics gives me the opportunity to compete in sports just like everyone else and a chance to meet a lot of new people. Special Olympics has also given me confidence that I can do anything as long as I put my mind to it, and has made me the well rounded person that I am today. I competed in cycling at the1999 World Games that were held in Raleigh, North Carolina, and I am looking forward to competing this summer in aquatics at the 2014 Special Olympics National Games that are being held in New Jersey. These games give me a chance to meet a lot of nice people, and make new friends.
