PHOENIX (KSAZ) -

He was well known in the community and worked with the homeless handing out water to those in need.

Now John Landrum Jr. will spend the rest of his life behind bars for having child porn on his computer.

John Landrum Jr. Sentenced to 117 years in prison after a jury found him guilty of 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor involving child porn. Years ago before his arrest FOX 10 talked to Landrum about his charity work.

Four years later Phoenix Police arrested Landrum saying he downloaded and shared dozens of images of child porn on his home computer.

On Wednesday, Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery said  Landrum's 117 year sentence is proof Arizona is cracking down on child porn suspects.

Montgomery also read detailed descriptions of the videos found on Landrum's computer those details too graphic to ever make air.

"I want you to hear what this individual had in his collection so that six months from now or 20 years from now there is no false sympathy for what he was in possession of," said Montgomery.

Montgomery, Phoenix Police and the FBI also announced today a new cyber tip line where people can report others suspected of having child porn sometimes a complete stranger who gets the wrong email can help.

"If they forget one key stroke it gets sent to an unsuspecting individual that's where we get the cyber tips from on the website," said phoenix police Lt.. Patrick Hoffman.

"You forward the information, and we start tracking it, it leads the breadcrumbs right to the suspects door," said Hoffman.

The cyber tip line website is located at: www.azicac.org
