A long time staple on Rainey Street will no longer be after tonight.
This evening is the final night of business at Lustre Pearl.
Over the past few years the trendy watering hole has been plagued with scandal.
In June of last year, the bar made a settlement after being sued for a fatal drunk driving crash.
In the lawsuit, the family of Jarrett Whittington claims bartenders over-served their son's friend.
25-year-old Madeline Rackley drove her car down a boat ramp into Lady Bird Lake, thinking it was the on-ramp to I-35.
The car went underwater.
Rackley and another passenger were able to escape.
But 25-year-old Whittington, who was in the back seat, wasn't able to and drowned.
Rackley was charged with intoxication manslaughter.
The family sued the business for 1 million dollars but the actual settlement amount is unknown.
The closure will make way for construction of a high-rise condo.
