TABC investigates Twin Liquor stores

Posted: Updated:

The Texas Alcoholic and Beverage Commission is investigating Twin Liquor Stores.

FOX 7 first told you about Twin Liquors almost one year ago when their corporate headquarters on Airport Boulevard was raided by state and federal agents.

FOX 7 has obtained the list of violations posted in the TABC report from April of 2013.

A TABC spokesperson went over the specific violations with us saying the allegations involve unlawful receipt of benefits and violations to the state tier system of alcohol distribution.

She wouldn't elaborate further, saying a hearing will be scheduled soon and that the TABC is moving to revoke the company's license

In a statement to FOX 7 Twin Liquors owners David and Margaret Jabour say, "To be frank, this investigation feels like a witch hunt. We believe we are innocent. We have no intention of shutting down and apologize to our staff and customers if anything in the court pleading sent a signal otherwise. TABC has not demonstrated anything that warrants the revocation of any of our permits. We don't agree with what they are doing, and we're vigorously defending ourselves."
