Suspects wanted for Mount Greenwood home thefts

Police are warning residents of scams against seniors that lead to homes being robbed by two suspects in the Mount Greenwood neighborhood.

In four incidents, two men pretended to be city Water Department employees and convinced seniors to let them into their homes. Once inside, the men distracted the victims and stole items from the home.

The suspects are described as 45- to 55-year-old white men between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-10, weighing 160-200 pounds. They were last seen driving a silver or light blue minivan.

The incidents occurred:

• 11300 block of South Hamlin Avenue on Feb. 5 about 1:30 p.m.;

• 3200 block of West 110th Street on Feb. 12 about 3 p.m. ;

• 10300 block of South Drake Avenue on Feb. 21 about 12 p.m.;

• 10800 block of South Trumbull Avenue on March 12 about 1:50 p.m.
