Emotional Support Center established in wake SXSW tragedy

The City of Austin, SXSW and the American Red Cross of Central Texas have established an Emotional Support Center to assist those coping with the fatal SXSW crash.

The center will focus on providing counseling and emotional support to those impacted by the incident.

It will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, March 14, and Saturday, March 15, at the Austin Convention Center, at 500 E Cesar Chavez St., Room 5C.

The Red Cross is also operating information assistance phones lines to help impacted individuals connect with loved ones or to talk with a counselor by phone.
