Blood donations needed after SXSW crash

After the tragic accident on Thursday morning that left two people dead and dozens other injured, the Blood Center of Central Texas delivered multiple blood packs and blood products to local Austin hospitals.

The center is now in need of donations.

The Blood Center's inventory of Type O negative and O positive is currently at a deficit. With this being spring break week, the center has seen very light traffic in terms of donations. They are urging eligible donors to visit one of three blood donation sites to make a donation.
