Construction on a Colorado Road is causing long delays up to ninety minutes and some motorists just can't wait to go to the bathroom. This has become a problem for residents in the area.
Homeowner John Koch has beautiful views from his house, but recently, when he looks out his window, he sees people using his yard as a toilet.
The Colorado Department of Transportation has been blasting portions of the highway in front of Koch's home to repair flood damaged roads.
This construction is causing drivers to wait but some cannot. Despite the Port-A- Potty, which is visible from his property, motorist trespass to do their business.
"We have million dollar views around here. The view I want out my back door isn't somebody dropping their drawers," he said.
Koch has posted sign after sign and roped off his yard, but it hasn't stopped the stream of people who come to pee on his property.
"It's completely oblivious that our house is there, our picture window is there. I mean, what about this doesn't scream private property," he said.
Now, Koch and his wife are trying to catch drivers on a bathroom break on camera and turn them in for trespassing.
The construction is scheduled to last through the end of the year, so Koch feels there's no relief in sight.
"This is going to be a yearlong thing. It's going to be going on all summer it's just beginning," he said.
The Colorado Department of Transportation's website suggests taking an alternate route because of construction traffic delays.
