Cancer survivor Adam Sanchez shaves his head for St. Baldrick`s

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

The St. Baldrick's Foundation is on a mission to conquer childhood cancer. Every year, brave people from all over Chicagoland shave their heads in solidarity with kids undergoing treatment.

The organization raises money to help fund research for a cure, support families in need and provide a long, healthy life for survivors.

Cancer survivor Adam Sanchez joined Good Day Chicago to shave his head live on the air Tuesday morning, to show other kids that he's standing with them and knows what they're going through.

His mom, Chicago Police Officer Brenda Valadez and Heather Kash St. Baldrick's explained how the charity works.
