Barber Takes Stand On Customers Reeking Of Marijuana
One Colorado barber shop owner is taking a stand, and refusing to serve customers who reek of marijuana.
No one in this shop is getting near a barber while smelling like pot. Although owner, Hugo Corral, has nothing against marijuana users, he says many of his customers with children began expressing their frustration about the issue.
Corral then put the no-pot policy in place and even hung a sign in his window.
"I feel that it's my right to make the statement...it's the same thing as no shoes no service," Corral said. "When people call...a mother calls and says hey we can't go in there anymore because we don't want it to smell like marijuana when my child is sitting there waiting."
"Its a good idea...I appreciate it," said customer Diana Flores.
He says people have ripped the sign off. He's even had to clean spit off his front door.
Marijuana is regulated from seed to sale in the Colorado. USA Today reports Pot is the third most popular recreational drug in America, after alcohol and tobacco, according to the marijuana reform group NORML.
Hugo says no matter the negative feedback his policy is here to stay.
