CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

If you're feeling the rhythm, you might want to check out the Chicago Flamenco Festival. Instituto Cervantes is celebrating the best of the incredible world of flamenco and they want you to join the party!

Good Day Chicago got a behind-the-scenes look into this incredible celebration.

Dance says more than words ever could. With emotion, passion and precision, this seductive language of movement expresses every soulful urge you could ever feel.

The non-profit center for Spanish language and cultural exchange located downtown at State and Ohio showcases the best of the Spanish and Hispanic cultures in Chicago. Now, through the power of movement with the Chicago Flamenco Festival.

Running through March 22, the festival is one of the oldest celebrations of flamenco in the world, presenting both up-and-comers and more established, critically acclaimed artists.

Insituto Cervantes executive director Antonio Martinez told FOX 32 News that flamenco, which originated in Spain, is a moving portrait of a culture. The style is a mixture of dancing, guitar playing and singing.

But Martinez said that just because you come to watch others perform doesn't mean you can't jump into the celebration.

With a soulfully thunderous power, flamenco has expressed the physical flavor of a culture for generations – and now, Chicago can get a taste.

So stand up, come here and take my hand. It's time to dance.
