A man is facing a felony drug charge, after Austin police say he paid his uncle to transport marijuana between California and Austin.
Nicholas Brevig, 28, is charged with possession of marijuana greater than 50 pounds.
Court documents say his uncle was stopped in Arizona, and deputies found about 50 pounds of marijuana in the back of his ford F-250.
He said Brevig was paying him $5,000 to bring the drugs to Austin.
The uncle cooperated with police, and when he arrived in Austin, police recorded his conversations with Brevig about the trip, payment, and additional runs to California.
When Brevig took the truck, and marijuana that was planted from the APD lab, he was stopped by police and arrested.
