PHILADELPHIA -

Crews were on the scene of a HAZMAT situation in Northeast Philadelphia. According to authorities, a 55 gallon drum of Nitric Oxide tipped over at around 5:50 a.m. About 30 gallons of it splashed a man on the face. He was transported to the hospital with minor burns.

This happed on the 5100 block of Comley Avenue. Fire Radio confirmed earlier that crews are on the scene cleaning up. No word yet on whether the situation is completely under control.

FOX 29's Dawn Timmeney was on the scene at 7:15 a.m., she reported that fire crews are leaving. Earlier, employees arriving on scene were turned away because of the dangers of NO. NO is a colorless and extremely toxic gas, Timmeney said.
