The FBI has opened an investigation into the tasing of a Cedar Creek student last fall.
Video was recently released of Noe Nino de Rivera being tased by a Bastrop County deputy. He suffered a head injury after falling to the floor.
FBI spokesperson, Michelle Lee told FOX 7 the review will try to determine whether or not Nino de Rivera's civil rights were violated. Lee also was quick to point out an investigation does not suggest the allegation is true.
"My clients and I welcome this federal investigation and are hopeful there will be an indictment. We want this deputy to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for ruining Noe's life," Adam Loewy, deRivera's attorney said.
