Man faces 'snowman rage' charges

Posted: Updated:

CLINTON, Conn. (AP) - Police say a Connecticut man assaulted two teenagers in a home invasion, believing they knocked down a snowman he built in his yard.

Twenty-two-year-old James Knudsen of Clinton was charged with home invasion, misdemeanor assault, burglary and other crimes on Thursday.

Clinton police told The Day that Knudsen forced his way into his neighbor's house, swung a pool stick at the teenagers and punched both of them in the face. The two juveniles, ages 16 and 17, had minor injuries.

Knudsen was detained on $5,000 bail and was scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Middletown Superior Court. It's not clear if he has a lawyer.
