PHOENIX (AP) - An Arizona House committee has advanced a bill aimed at jilted lovers who post explicit pictures of former flames on the internet as a way to get revenge, despite concerns it is too broadly written.

The bill from Rep. J.D. Mesnard unanimously passed the Judiciary Committee Thursday. The proposed law would make it a felony to post nude photos of a person without their written consent.

Mesnard told the committee he would work to tighten the bill's language to exclude teen 'sexting' and to ensure the bill is not overly broad.

House Bill 2515 is one of many being considered by lawmakers across the nation in response to what some say is an explosion of so-called "revenge porn" made easier by the growth of social networks.
