Police have charged Lorena Garcia, 23, with injury to a child after they say she threw an 8-month-old baby onto and then into the father's truck.
According to police, Garcia was engaged in a fight with the man on December 7, 2013. Garcia and the father of her four children met to get a letter notarized concerning a financial agreement for their children. Garcia allegedly wanted him to take all four children, but he could only take one. After an argument they both left the notary office.
When the father got into his vehicle, investigators say Garcia stood behind his vehicle to prevent him from leaving. She then allegedly pounded her fist on the window before throwing the baby she was holding onto the windshield. The man rolled down his window and police say Garcia throw the child into his arm through the window.
According to court paperwork, the child sustained a one inch cut on her legs.
Police say Garcia then left with her two other children.
