Austin Police are investigating two suspicious deaths at an apartment complex in Northwest Austin.
According to Austin Police Corporal David Boyd, just after 8 this morning, officers responded to a check welfare urgent call at the complex in the 10600 block of Morado Circle. Police say the caller said she found blood on her patio, and didn't know where it came from.
When officers arrived on scene, they say they tracked a blood trail to a nearby unit. Police say they knocked on the door and didn't get a response, so they made forced entry into the unit. When inside, they reportedly found two bodies with obvious trauma. No information about their identities is available at this time.
Police do not believe the caller who spotted blood on her patio is connected to the deaths. They also do not believe residents of the apartment are threatened.
If anyone has any information on these deaths, they're asked to call 311 so an officer or detective can come out to talk to them.
