Sen. Wendy Davis addresses controversies at TCDP JBR dinner
The race for Texas Governor has gotten ugly over the last week. Democratic candidate State Senator Wendy Davis has been accused of stretching the truth about her life story of being a struggling, single teen mom.
Tuesday night she addressed the controversies at the Four Seasons hotel in downtown Austin.
Some of the critical points in the Dallas Morning News report: Wayne Slater reported Senator Davis did not divorce and become a single mom when she was 19 - as she had previously stated. Instead she was 21. Also, that her second husband paid for her Harvard law education, while he cared for two children back in Texas. And that she filed for divorce the day the final payment was made on her college loans.
Media was not allowed inside. The event was "live-streamed."
Davis has not spoken publicly about this until now and she did not hold back her emotions or accusations against Greg Abbott.
Davis' oldest daughter amber introduced her mom tonight calling her the best mother in the world and her best friend.
