Police: 2 teens found, 1 still missing on Long Island

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - Police on Long Island say that two of three missing teenage boys have been found but a third is still missing. The trio went missing Sunday, January 26, 2014, from Syosset.

Gabriel Hernandez, 16, and Shakeem Smith, 14, were found Tuesday. Jonathan Acevedo, 15, is still missing. They left Mercy First Group Home on Convent Road at about 8 p.m. Sunday, police said.

Acevedo is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 139 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes, and was seen wearing a light blue shirt.

    Reminder for drivers that as children head back to school in Nassau County so too, will the speed cameras in school zones. Officials say speed cams will be fully operational at 25 locations this week. That will more than double eventually.
