The police activity near Leander High School has come to an end, and students and staff are being allowed back on campus.
The school was placed on lockdown Monday morning due to police activity near the school.
According to Cedar Park police, the incident started with reports of shots fired from a vehicle in the 1700 block of East Park. Authorities pulled over a vehicle containing two suspects. The driver was taken into custody while the passenger attempted to flee the scene on foot. He was believed to have run to the area of Bagdad and Kettering, near Leander High School.
Everyone was cleared from the school as a precautionary measure. The runaway suspect was eventually captured by authorities.
Initially, authorities believed there was a third suspect involved, but determined the two vehicle passengers were the only ones involved in the reported shooting.
