Madden to move forward after losing job at UT

Posted: Updated:

Jeff "Mad Dog" Madden helped get Vince Young NFL-ready, along with 70 other Longhorns who were drafted during Madden's 16 years as UT strength and conditioning coach.

Unfortunately Madden is one of the many coaches who lost his job in the Mack Brown to Charlie Strong transition.

As you might expect, the man who once bench-pressed over 600 pounds continues to push forward.

Despite working together the past 21 seasons, Madden and Coach Brown are not a package deal.

Even if Mack doesn't continue his coaching career, Mad Dog reminds us he's 10 years younger than Brown and has a lot left in the tank.
