Austin police have charged a man after they say he used his cell phone to take videos up the skirts of unsuspecting women in several department stores.
Damien Williams, 29, was charged with improper photography or recording, a state jail felony.
The investigation began on Oct. 16, after a woman reported that she confronted a man, later identified as Williams, who took video up her skirt while she was shopping at Old Navy Store in the Muller Shopping Center. The woman told police, she saw Williams bob up and down behind her. She then confronted him and asked for his phone which was in "video record mode." When she asked him to show her his pictures he grabbed the phone from her and fled from the store.
A Marshall's loss prevention officer also reported seeing Williams take video or photos underneath the skirt of an employee and a female shopper a month later, according to court paper work.
After obtaining a search warrant for Williams' phone, investigators found several recordings of "up skirt" videos.
