Digging Out From Under A Foot Of Snow in Winter's Latest Blast

FOLCROFT, Pa. -

Dan Kremens makes his living as a neurologist at Jefferson Hospital, but Wednesday we found him bundled up outside his Wynnewood home digging out from under a foot of snow after mother nature's last winter blast.

"I tried to get a lot of it done last night, so I got my snow plow out last night plowed my driveway and then got up this morning dug out my wife and my daughter's cars," he told Fox 29.

Dr. Kremens had all the tools of the trade from a snow blower, to a scrapper and a shovel as he cleared out snow from around his wife and daughter's cars Grenox Road.

"It's a lot colder today, its been very windy, but the snows nice and light so its very easy to use the plow on it today. Which is great," he added.

Up the block we found David Lipson hard at work clearing off the cars in his driveway. Battling this storm was a 24 hour job.

"We started last night, got a little bit off, it melts a little bit, and refreezes and you just gotta scrape it off," he said.

Over on Argyle Road, Mel Ruth, who works as a teacher in Philadelphia, had the day off from school so he was focused on shoveling out his corner property.

"I just had to get up and keep on it throughout the night, we have a driveway that goes down hill," he explained...

Meanwhile Noah Ruth was enjoying some sledding on the family's front lawn after he helped his dad with the driveway and the walks during Tuesday's big storm.

My wife did one half of the driveway and i did the other half. Now my kids are messing it up," Mel Ruth said.

So while some stayed warm inside, the folks who were hard at work outside pretty much agreed, they can't wait for winter to be over.

"You're feelin it. You feel it in the gloves," Lipson added..

"We got use to the past three winters being pretty easy, but this one, we're facing a real winter again," Kremens said.
