ATLANTA -

It's going to get worse before it gets better. Freezing temperatures are expected to continue over the next few days, according to the FOX 5 Storm Team.

Bone-chillingly cold temperatures gripped the metro Atlanta area on Wednesday and FOX 5 Storm Team Chief Meteorologist Ken Cook says don't expect a warm-up anytime soon. In Fact, another cold front is on the way.

Low temperatures on Wednesday night are expected to be in the in the upper teens to low 20s.

Another arctic blast is expected to arrive on Thursday, Ken says.  Low temperatures are being made worse by strong wind gusts.

Numerous FOX 5 viewers sent in photos of snow on Tuesday afternoon.  It appeared that flurries moved as far south as Cumming. Most areas received a light dusting, but there was fear that roads could be slick as temperatures continued to drop on Tuesday night.

The cold air will remain in place through Friday when the morning low will be near 16 degrees and the high temperatures will only be a few degrees above freezing, Hill said. Each day will be sunny and dry. The temperatures will start climbing this weekend.
