APD searching for 1st bank robber of 2014

Austin Police are searching for a man they say robbed a Chase Bank inside of a grocery store last Thursday.

According to investigators, a man walked into the bank inside an HEB in the 500 block of Canyon Ridge and demanded money. He was fled the scene in a dark colored sedan with an undisclosed amount of money.

The robber is described as a white man between 5'11" and 6" tall. He was in his mid 50s or older. He weighed approximately 170 pounds and had blue eye, short gray hair and a scruffy beard. He was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap, a dark colored jacket, a gray t-shirt, light color denim jeans and black footwear.
