At 5 p.m. we told you police were investigating a possible child abduction in southeast Austin.
Four hours after, Austin police say they found the little boy with his friends.
The alleged abduction was called in around the time school lets out and near Mendez Middle School.
APD tells FOX 7 they got a call around 3:15 p.m. saying a child had possibly been grabbed and thrown into a car.
A neighbor says the little boy had stopped on his bike in the 5500 block of Village Lane to check on some dogs that had been fighting and that two men were seen talking to him.
You can see from the video, his bike was left behind.
Officers asked residents in the area to try and ID the bike and its rider.
Investigators eventually cleared the scene, but continued to investigate.
Officers say they received a lot of conflicting reports and at no point did a parent call to report their child missing.
Still, APD says it's good for people to call in anything they feel is suspicious.
