NEW JERSEY (MYFOXNY.COM) - A huge 48 sign will be displayed in Hoboken to celebrate the Super Bowl.

A carefully crafted sculpture was robotically sliced, glued and screwed together by hand.

The pieces of architect John Nastasi's design, more than 300 boards of plywood, will jigsaw together to create the roman numerals 48.

The symbol of this years Super Bowl is the centerpiece of Hoboken's party plans.

Andrew Campbell is the owner of Eastern Millwork - a Jersey City based upscale woodshop.  The company uses computer programmed machines to get the specs just right

Hoboken's sign will stand 12-feet-tall and will be 60 feet wide and four feet deep.

Scott Katz is the president of the Hoboken Planning Committee.  He says that local businesses are helping out with costs by purchasing individual roman numerals for permanent display.
