Austin Police are saying a man was shot and killed inside a house Saturday afternoon and the shooter or shooters are still on the loose.
Family and friends were emotional as they learned about what happened on Porsche Lane in southwest Austin.
Police say they got the call around 5:30 in the afternoon that there were shots fired.
When police arrived, they found a Hispanic male had been shot inside the house.
He was taken to UMC Brackenridge and died there a little after 6.
Austin Police tell us there were other people inside the house -- no kids -- and fortunately no one else was hurt.
"We have some pretty vague descriptions of these guys or of the suspect. Nothing concrete enough to be able to put it out and as far as that goes -- as far as the public safety goes, we have enough information on scene that leads us to believe this is not a random act," said Sgt. Anthony Hipolito.
Sgt. Hipolito also says there might be more than one person involved in the shooting.
Witnesses saw a couple of different cars leaving the area...again no description concrete enough to release.
Police say they don't have a motive yet either.
