YORKVILLE, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Two people were injured when two pickup trucks and a semi crashed Friday morning in southwest suburban Yorkville.

The driver of a pickup ran a stop sign on Walker Road near Route 47 about 7:15 a.m. and was T-boned by a tractor trailer, which caused another pickup to crash, according to Illinois State Police.

One driver was taken in serious condition to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora and another driver was taken to Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers with non-life-threatening injuries, Master Sergeant Malone said.

The driver of the semi was not injured.

Malone said it was very foggy at the time of the crash, which may have been a factor. The scene was cleared and lanes were reopened as of 11:30 a.m.

Illinois State Police are investigating.
