KINGMAN, Ariz. -

The Mohave County Sheriff's Office says a woman and her boyfriend were arrested after deputies received a report the Arizona mother stole three of her children's Christmas money.

Deputies say two people at a home in Kingman report they gave $10 to each of their four grandchildren as Christmas gifts.  The grandparents say the kids' mother, Amanda Sue Rick of Golden Valley, had taken $30 from three of the children.

Deputies say the father is the custodial parent of the kids.  Rick and her boyfriend, Cruz Alberto Ruvalcaba, 29, reportedly stopped by and left the home with the money.  Both Rick and Ruvalcaba were arrested on outstanding warrants with Kingman Municipal Court.

According to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office, Rick told deputies the kids gave her the cash so she could get a motel room.

She was arrested on several misdemeanor warrants and charges of felony possession of drug paraphernalia, among other charges.  Ruvalcaba was arrested for two misdemeanor warrants and several other charges.
