Tuba Christmas held at the Capitol

Posted: Updated:

The 40th annual Tuba Christmas was held at the state Capitol on Monday.

It is part of a worldwide event that brings tuba and euphonium players together and different venues to perform.

The event started in 1974 after a music student wanted to pay tribute to his teacher and mentor, tuba great William J Bell. Bell was born on Christmas day.

The event has grown to many different areas since then.
