CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police are asking for the public's help in finding an elderly man with dementia who has been missing from the Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side since Sunday.

Emanuel Espinosa, 74, was last seen Sunday in the 5100 block of South Albany Avenue, according to a high-risk community alert from Chicago police.

He is believed to have walked away from his home, and may be a few blocks from that area, near the 5000 to 5600 blocks of South Kedzie Avenue, police said.

Espinosa could also be in the area of 43rd Street and Ashland Avenue, where he used to live, or near Wabash Avenue and Jackson Boulevard, where he used to work, police said.

He suffers from dementia and could be mentally confused, police said. He is believed to be carrying identification.

Espinosa is described as a 160 pound, 5-foot-7 white Hispanic man with brown eyes, grey hair and a light complexion, police said. He was last seen wearing a grey jacket, grey pants and black sandals.

Anyone with information on Espinosa's whereabouts is asked to contact Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8380.
